HALIMEDE

(Hal-uh-meed)

In ancient Greek mythology, the supernatural sea nymphs, referred to as Nereids (ne-reeds), were believed to inhabit the oceans and represent everything that is beautiful about the sea. They were the 50 daughters of Nereus and Doris and often accompanied Poseidon. The Nereids were reputed to be the most beautiful and beguiling of the sea nymphs..

Halimede (Hal-uh-meed), was the sea nymph known as “lady of the saltwater.”
